with grasshopper
Tilting the upper curve to allow more light penetration and a more interesting form and increasing points on the curve to allow for smoother surface
Working out building extents
Baked then sent to CAD for scaling and placement in site
HUGE, I KNOW, THANKS FOR NOTICING!
Into MAX for more planning and layout
So woke up this morning and realised that my overall massing of the surrounding building is just a bunch of splines, GREAT....... went back into rhino, but....I forgot I had re-imported the newly scaled geometry into rhino (also splines) relacing all the existing geometry making all my grasshopper file irrelevant as it no longer had coordinates. a huge amount of frustration and cursing later and we have geometry for export in rhino once more, this time as a three dimensional object which max will hopefully read as a solid.
So with a bit of playing around i got the 3ds into Max, Yeah!
More resolution in Max and planning in Cad after a change in direction
